Call for Entries - 8th National Short Film Festival 2019
National Film Archive of India (Pune)
The idea of the National Short Film Festival (NSFF) took roots in 2011, with the aim of bringing Student Filmmakers, Film Enthusiasts and Industry Professionals together on a national platform. It is an effort by DMCS, SPPU to create a cohesive community in the Indian Film landscape that nurtures filmmakers venturing into this field, providing them with the impetus to showcase their craft. DMCS NSFF is an endeavour to create a public and professional domain for student filmmakers, which can function as a stepping stone for propelling student work in the existing industry. The changing dynamics of filmmaking with improvements in technology makes an exciting premise for Filmmakers and Audiences alike, to cherish Cinema.
From NSFF 2018, NSFF is proud to dedicate its trophy 'Saraswati' to the award recipients. 'Saraswati' is dedicated to Saraswati Phalke, the first female technician of the Indian film industry. In 2019, NSFF is proud to be collaborate with National Film Archive Of India (NFAI) for the 8th NSFF 2019.
