Communication Studies in India: Pedagogical Practices and Challenges

Dr. Biswajit Das is a Professor and founding Director of Centre for Culture, Mediaand Governance, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. This centre has been identified as the only centre with potential for excellence in Media and Communications Studies in India by UGC (2016). He has been a visiting Professor at York University, Toronto and fellow at the University of Windsor (Canada), East-West Centre (Hawaii), MSH (Paris) and the IIAS (Shimla). Professor Das will address the growing tension between the radical transformation in the social mileu and media pedagogies practiced in India.
