Mr. Makarand Dambhare is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Media and Communication Studies. He has a graduation in English Literature from SPPU and a specialization in Film Editing from FTII. He is a trained visual artist, animator, illustrator, graphic designer, filmmaker and film educator. Makarand has been part of more than 70 fiction, non-fiction and documentary Projects as Director, Editor, Animator and in Cinematography and Production Design. His notable work includes an award-winning short documentary ‘Maneesha 1941’. His first Marathi feature film as an editor ‘Lathe Joshi’ won several awards in international film festivals. He continues to be part of several feature film productions. Makarand also writes and illustrates children’s books.
