The idea of the DMCS NSFF stemmed out of the need to nurture student filmmakers by enabling them to participate and get a National platform to showcase their craft in a public & professional domain.

The Department of Media and Communication Studies, Savitribai Phule Pune University, would be hosting the 8th National Short Film Festival (NSFF) on 22nd and 23 rd February 2019.
