Dr. Priya Gohad works as Assistant Professor/Museum Curator at the Museum of Cartoon Art, at the Department of Media and Communication Studies. She holds a PhD in Archaeology along with a Diploma in Heritage Management and Museology. With a teaching and research experience of more than ten years, she has also worked as Consulting Archaeologist at Kirloskar Consultants & Janawani- an initiative of MCCIA. She is a member of Society of South Asian Archaeologists and Committee member of Maharashtra State Bureau of Textbook Production & Curriculum Research (Balbharati). She has worked as a Research Associate for the multi-university research project titled ‘Cultural Heritage and Identities of Europe’s Future’ (CHIEF) led by Aston University, U.K. She was awarded fellowships from Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India (DST) for her research in Archaeology. Her research interests are Heritage Management, Ancient Indian history, Museum Studies, Art, Architecture, Culture and Archaeology.
